The Instinct is a great combination of a GPS and a fitness tracker. It uses GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo satellites to track your location which allows tracking in more challenging environments than GPS alone. It also has a built-in three-axis compass and barometric altimeter to ensure that you keep your bearings. The TracBack feature allows you to navigate the exact same path on your return. The Instinct also monitors your heart rate, activity, and stress throughout the day. It helps you keep track of your training and progress so that you can ensure when hunting season rolls around you are ready to capitalize on any opportunity.

You can also pair your phone with the Instinct so that you can receive notifications on your watch. This feature is also available with the inReach. If you have an active inReach you can pair it with the Instinct and it allows you to receive messages on your watch and send preset messages back. You can also then use your watch to trigger the SOS feature of the inReach in case something goes wrong while you are in the backcountry. When you combine these great features with the rugged construction that meets the U.S. military standard 810G for thermal, shock, and water resistance, you get a watch that is perfect for a backcountry hunter.
