Original Item: Only One Available. One of the most important tools on the battlefield aside from your brain is the weapon system in which you are armed with. Whether it was in combat or just training, preventative and continual maintenance on your weapon is important. This cleaning kit is often referred to as a “squad” cleaning kit due to the amount of materials inside. The kit contains (10) parkerized steel cleaning rods, (10) bronze bore brushes, (10) takedown tools, (1) oiler, (1) cosmic container and lastly a dozen or so small cleaning cloths. Only 4 brushes are shown in the photographs, but there are definitely 10 included.

Weapon cleaning kits are generally caliber specific meaning, take the bore brushes for example. This type of brush has hard bronze bristles to clear up the bigger carbon residue inside the barrel that was soaked in by the cleaning solvent using a cotton bore mop like the square cloth pieces in this kit. These bronze brushes are caliber specific which means you can’t use .45 calibers’ brush for .38 or vice versa.

The kit comes contained in its original US stamped 9” x 5” x 2” steel box and does appear to be complete, though there is no wooden or cardboard insert on the bottom.

The overall condition is really nice and does show signs of faithful use and presents itself without any extensive damage or wear. The box is undamaged, still closing and locking as intended. There is also a small sleeve of cleaning wipes.

This is a wonderful kit and comes more than ready for display or even to use!
